Kate was no stranger to waking up in weird situations, or dealing with threats against her. That didn't make them any less annoying, but she wasn't about to panic when she came to at a table she did not recognize, wearing clothes she'd rather set on fire, surrounded by people she absolutely did not know. At least they smelled human.

She remained silent while she took in her surroundings, the people, the dress, and then finally her eyes narrowed in on her arm. Her body went tense as she noticed what looked like a cell phone screen pressed against her skin from the inside. Had someone experimented on her?

Her last memories were of grabbing some water while coming toward the end of her shift at the hospital. She had been tired, ready for a quick run and then sleep. Nothing about her shift was standing out as strange, or could explain her current surrounding.

When the damn record player or all things started speaking to them, Kate nearly did growl. Her eyes narrowed in on the machine. There was either a microphone inside, or someone had spelled it.

She stood up from her the table, cursing on her breath about the dress and shoes. Kate barley took two steps toward the record player when she stopped to kick off the offending heals, and picked them up to hold them in one hand. She could need them later.

Her long legs carried her quickly across the room to the record player, ignoring the man who had spoke. From what she could see, her two guests were just as confused as she was.

A few moments were spent inspecting the devise, before she stopped to look around the room. Old, musty, kind of rotten. The smells filled her lungs and made her want to crack open a window. Filled with candles. Was there no electricity? "Well this is a nightmare." She said rather calmly. Did the Hotel California message mean they were trapped inside by magic?

Finally she turned toward the man who had spoke. "I'm Katherine. Who are you?"
