AC and Kings Landing meant absolutely nothing to her, and it probably showed on her face as she stared at him. Kate could detect no lies, despite the fact that it didn't make any sense at all. That was concerning. Just like she could detect no lies coming from the woman. Something was seriously messed up. Magic. It was always magic.
They didn't have a gun. Or a sword for that matter. But they big guy definitely looked like he'd be fine without one. Kate had her own weapons always on her, but using them wasn't exactly an option with these two around. If they were part of the supernatural community that would be different, she could deal with the bullshit that came with other creatures dealing with werewolves. But she couldn't be sure just yet.
"Right. Well, I'm getting the hell out of dodge, forget what a disembodied voice thinks."
So Kate went right for the door, and placed one hand on the doorknob. She listened carefully for anyone on the other side. She was fairly certain there was someone or multiple someones elsewhere in the house, but not directly outside. This was an opportunity, so she turned the door handle and pulled.
