Cleo had never seen anything like this. She knew there were people talking about mobiles that could eventually project into air. You could wear it like a bracelet, very future tech. But she'd never seen a mobile like this one, and certainly not in someones arm. She was very carefully touching her arm around the screen expecting it to hurt. But it didn't. There was no mark, no scars, no point. It didn't make any sense.

Cleo went straight for the door, wanting nothing more to be out of this situation and back to her list of things she had to get done that were actually important. She pulled on the handle and yanked it open probably more forcefully than she had to, more than ready to start giving it to anyone who might be waiting on the other side.
But there was no one, just more house. So she carefully stepped out into the hallway, looking one way and then the other.
