Trying not to repeat what everyone else has said, but this place is a nightmare. I turn around and the door I just went through disappears. I'm in a hall way, somewhere, and at least this time nothing is going on, but it's still a bit annoying to just walk and walk and get no where. Someone talk to me?
Rikki, if you're hearing this, I hope you're okay. I tried following you through that door but it just wouldn't open.
To anyone who wants to run into him though, he is literally walking down a long hall way, alone, bored, and looking for a door out of here. If you happen to open a door on his hall way, hold it open for him, yeah?
He's in black suit with the jacket off and in his hands. Dark hair is well combed and in place still, but he looks tired. Looks uncomfortable. Ben's been walking for a while. He's looking for Rikki still, or just a open damn door. Hopefully one that doesn't led to pool again. He's been there at least once.
Ben's not dead here. Not a ghost. He's physical and alive and tired. He's not felt tired in ages. Or temperature either, and he was feeling over heated right now. Worn out at least. He's sure this hall way was ramping up the heat too. But he walked, looking back once in a while, or even wandering back and checking floor and ceiling for doors as well as walls. But nothing. It was like it was doing it's best to keep him separated from others.
{ooc: open to [action] or "prose"]. Take your pick!}

Oh man, food sounds great. I haven't had to eat in a while now.
no subject
Don't get too excited. They're stale. They'll do, though.
no subject
It's been over a decade since I've had to eat. the thought of food completely skipped my mind.
no subject
( She'll blast out a wall if she has to. She could burn this whole place down, and if it doesn't let them out soon, she just might. )
...oh, right... I forgot about that.
( Forgot; still didn't entirely believe beyond that she believed that Ben believes it? Does that count? )
Well, when I find you, you can have half the crackers. One less smoothie on the house when we get out of here, but, you know.
no subject
How many people are even here?
[Look, if he finds out his brother Klaus is here, he can vouch for him?]
Awesome. Though you make sure you save enough for yourself. I don't want to dig into your rations, and we might need to be careful about food too...
no subject
I dunno. A handful, at least, judging by what I've seen with what little looking back I've done.
Oh, I'm not giving you any of what I've already mentally rationed for myself, America. I like you, but not that much.
no subject
I suppose saying 'good to know we're not alone' is a bit wrong, huh?
[He chuckled at that. She kept calling him America.] Good. I'd hate for you to get attached to me.
no subject
( She'll thank you to keep your "I told you so" to yourself later, Ben. )
Probably, but all the same...good to know we're not alone.
Yeah, you would, probably. I'm an acquired taste.
[PRIVATE TO BEN.]
I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a try.
If there are more of us, it makes me wonder what's making the rest of them freaks. We know what's wrong with us, but you know?
no subject
[Maybe a little...]
Hey, I've only ever been attached to one person, and I'm pretty sure he thought I was a nag. [Poor Klaus, getting stuck with your ghost brother for years.]
[Private to Rikki]
Looks like it does. Or so far at least, seems to work?
That's a good question. Maybe it'll be helpful some how, to getting out of here. If everyone could meet in one place. We could work shit out.
no subject
( Wait for it, Rik. Just wait for it. )
Are you? A nag?
[ BEN. ]
Yeah, well you can see it, but who knows if everyone else also can. Let's hope not.
Yeah. That's probably a good idea. Or, you know, the worst idea. There's really only one way to find out which, yeah?
no subject
Yeah, a nag. I'm not always a good mannered helpful guy--wait, no. I am.
[RIKKI]
Good point.
And that's to what? Announce it on the network and hope everyone can find the same location?
no subject
( Sorry about your ears, anyone who happens to be listening. Rikki isn't typically a screamer, but she's also not typically trapped in a falling elevator.
The sound of panting and a thud, then scrambling, and finally an innocent ding of the elevator before its doors close again can be heard. )
Fucking...hell...
( Audio cuts off. )
[TEXT;]
I hate this place.
I was going to say, I don't believe that for a second.
[BEN.]
I guess, yeah. Assuming any of us can find one another.
no subject
[He was already behind in times. They didn't have cell phones when he was alive. It was a weird thing they didn't deal with so he felt out of touch on this thing.]
Jesus, what was that? Are you okay?
[RIKKI]
That's the part I'm worried about. That and if they are collecting freaks, what do they want to do with us? What if they are in the house with us?
no subject
What was what? I'm fine.
[BEN.]
Oh, I'm sure we'll be science experiments in a minute if we don't find our way out. Maybe we already are science experiments, actually...
And exactly, that's why getting us all in one room could just as easily be the worst idea as it could be the best one.
no subject
You screamed! How'd you get this on audio?
[RIKKI]
Rats in a fucked up maze.
We've got to do something though. We all can't just wander around blindly, hoping for a scrap of food to eat once in a while.
no subject
I'm fine. Just...scared me is all. The elevator. And I didn't put it on audio. I dunno how that happened if you heard that, but I didn't do it.
[BEN]
Yeah, well...I'll burn this stupid house down around us if I have to. I'm not a lab rat.
They'll be sorry if I ever find out who they are.
That's a point... Let's just find one another first, yeah?
no subject
Well, it went to audio just in time to catch your fall.
[RIKKI]
Lets try not burning the house with ourselves in it just yet, but if it comes down to it, that's not a bad idea.
Okay, this might not work, but I'm banging on a wall right now. Can you hear it?
no subject
( It happened, but if he doesn't want her to tell him that it did, then she's happy to take that literally even though it's clear he doesn't mean it that way. )
...brilliant.
[BEN]
Well, it's not my first choice, obviously. But I'm also not above it if there's no other options.
No... I suppose I should start moving to see if I can eventually hear it, though, yeah? Keep doing it.
no subject
[RIKKI]
Right. We can hold off on the burning for now. Still, not a bad idea.
Yeah, I'll keep it up.
no subject
[BEN]
Oh hold on, I think I heard that, mate. Unless that's someone else.
no subject
[RIKKI]
Could be anything. Let's hope it's me and not someTHING. I just knocked three times in a row.
BEN
PRIVATE TO BEN AND RIKKI
Ah, no.
I was knocking on the left side wall of the hall, not the floor.
BEN AND RIKKI
Unless it is you and this place is just bending sound now. My brain hurts.
